Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Invisalign® is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment system that can straighten your teeth and correct issues with your bite without the use of braces.
The aligners are made of a transparent plastic material, custom-fit to your teeth, using advanced medical imaging technology. We can upload your 3D intra-oral scans to the manufacturer’s ClinCheck® software, which allows your dentist to map out your treatment plan from beginning to end.
Not only will ClinCheck provide your dentist with all the information they need to produce your aligners, but you can see a detailed visual representation of how your teeth will look once the treatment is complete.
The length of treatment depends on several factors that are unique to each patient. It can take 12-18 months depending on the individual, but it is possible to get a straighter, whiter smile in as little as 4 months at Banning Dental Clinics.
You may have heard of discount aligners that are available to buy online. It’s important to know that the purchase of generic invisible braces does not fix your teeth alone. It’s a complex treatment plan, supported by our highly skilled orthodontists who assess your individual case, produce your aligners, and advise how to use them correctly to realise their full potential.
It’s also important to note that aligners are not manufactured the same way. We only use Invisalign® aligners, which we consider to be the very best on the market.
Our advanced capabilities are enhanced by exceptional state-of-the-art technology and industry-leading equipment, allowing us to create beautiful, healthy smiles for our patients. We are even able to transform very complicated, multi-disciplinary cases with invisible aligners, using specialised accessories for treatments previously only possible with traditional braces.
If you have been told you are not an Invisalign® candidate, we encourage you to book a consultation at one of our practices and continue this conversation with us.
At Banning Dental Group we are proud to offer the lowest-priced Invisalign in the UK, without compromise.
Our prices includes a free consultation, teeth whitening, and a comprehensive ITERO 3D scan allowing you to see your Smile Transformation before committing to treatment.

Implants are almost like natural teeth. They have a titanium root, an upper connector called an abutment, and the visible white portion called a crown.
Dental implant surgery is virtually painless as you will be numbed up ensuring no discomfort during the procedure. Pain and discomfort after surgery is usually mild and is controlled by medication that we provide to you free of charge

Dental Implants
A dental implant is a long-term solution for replacing one or more of your missing teeth. Implants are placed directly into the jawbone during a simple surgical procedure to provide a strong anchor to support a crown, or for larger spaces, a bridge or denture. Dental implants provide a long lasting and very natural looking solution to replace any missing teeth to restore confidence and improve your ability to chew food effectively.
Dental Implants are not just about replacing teeth. Apart from restoring the patient's confidence, it is also about replacing the gum and bone to achieve the best long term functional and cosmetic solution. Dental Implants are the next best effective and natural solution to replacing missing teeth. A dental implant is a small titanium screw placed into the jawbone to create a permanent fixture mimicking a new root. The screw supports one or more naturally coloured, lab fabricated teeth. Both the artificial tooth and its supporting screw are called an implant. Implants are a well tried-and tested treatment giving strong and lasting results, with over a 95% success rate. Any number of teeth can be replaced with implants – from one single tooth, to full mouth rehabilitation.
Placement of the implant requires a small operation, which is usually carried out under local anaesthetic, possibly complemented with oral sedation. The placement is painless but some discomfort post treatment may be felt during the week following the surgery. This is mostly due to your body’s natural healing process. An artificial tooth/teeth is fabricated in the interim to replace those missing in the aesthetic zone, as new teeth cannot be placed on the implant immediately. Implants need to bond (integrate) with the bone after they have been placed. This takes anywhere from 3-6 months.

Timing and length of treatment depends on many factors. An initial consultation to assess the quantity and quality of bone is essential for the formulation of an individual customised treatment plan as it may not be possible to place implants without grafting bone into the area first. Any implant that does not integrate (fuse) with the bone after placement and becomes loose during the healing period, will be removed and reattempted at a later date. This is very rare and usually due to underlying systemic medical conditions. Implants and the teeth they support can be damaged by an accident in the same way that natural teeth can.
Oral Hygiene is equally as important as cleaning natural teeth. Although the implant will not decay, gum disease 'implantitis' can become associated with the implant, causing it to fail.
Implants are not expensive in the long term. It is less than the cost of more conventional treatment with crowns and bridges over a lifetime. There are advantages to implants – absence of preparation of adjacent teeth beside the gap (as for bridges) and implants are fixed in the bone unlike dentures which are removable, can affect speech and taste as well as move about in the mouth, creating sore spots. Teeth attached to an implant don’t cause any of these problems and are practical alternative to bridges and dentures. The implant screw also helps preserve bone and prevent future collapse of oral facial contours.
